Hamilton's Local Run Clubs

One of the great things about running in Hamilton is the number of unique running clubs. There are multiple groups running on every day of the week. Whether you're looking to walk with an awesome group of people, or run a fast interval workout, there is a group for you. Below you will find all of the information on our city's local running groups.

Runner's Den Group Run

Upcoming we will be hosting our 12-week Fall Running Clinic leading up to the Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope road races (more info about the race can be found at Hamilton Marathon Road2Hope)

Starting August 13th 2024. We will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm at the store for an interval or tempo workout, and we also meet every Saturday at 8am at the store for a weekly long run.

Hamilton Track Dogs

Every Saturday at 8:15am Hamilton Track Dogs offers a free, inclusive, safe, and approachable track workouts. Taking place on the HAAA track! Woof.

EveryBodyCrew

EveryBodyCrew (EBC), is where running is about more than miles – it's about embracing movement and community. Founded by Alex in 2022, EBC offers a judgment-free space where everyone, regardless of background or ability, can join in. They are committed to inclusivity, social justice, and creating a supportive environment free from discrimination. Join them to experience the joy of movement and the strength of solidarity.

Early Bird Run Club (EBRC)

Meets bright and early Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 5:40am at the top of Chedoke Stairs.

Burly Trail Runners

The Burly Trail Runners are headquartered in the Hamilton and Burlington area of Ontario where most of our running occurs. Their mission is to create a place for all runners to connect with each other and safely explore all the amazing trails around us.

They are an inclusive group and welcome runners of all abilities. Within the Burlies you’ll find every kind of runner from those new to running on the trails, to ultra runners who win their races. But most of us are mid-pack runners just looking to connect with other runners and have some fun. You’ll always have someone to run with in the Burlies.

Currently meeting: Monday @ 6:30am, Tuesdays @ 6:30pm, Wednesday @ 8pm, Thursday @ 6:00pm, Fridays @ 6:30am, and Saturdays @ 9am. Location can vary each week so follow our social media for location details.

Steel Town Athletic Club

An athletic organization that's inclusive and diverse. When you participate with us, your involvement and support helps provide marginalized, BIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+ folks with running and athletic opportunities that are safe, comfortable and fun. From first time runners to elite athletes, we merge all abilities together. Everyone supports each other and no one is left behind. No pressure environment and lots of laughs.

We Run Club (WERC)

Located in Hamilton with easy access to so many trail systems, that’s where they try to spend most of their runs. They encourage diversity, friendliness and are chatty to a fault :) You’ll encounter a wide range of runners, from ultra runners, road racers to brand new runners new to the sport.

Every Wednesday from Gage Park, they run an 8km route with stops to ensure no runner is left behind! 

Fridays they host a trail run starting at different trail heads throughout the city. This one starts at 6:30

Bayfront Endurance

Bayfront Endurance is a free interval workout for ALL levels led by THREE Olympians.

Meets every Tuesday at 6pm at Bayfront Park.
Each session starts with an easy warm-up jog and demonstrated drills followed by an interval workout and then easy cool down jog.
